Stunning...

When I drove up to the house this afternoon after work, I was absolutely STUNNED. Most of our windows were installed; the front window is SO impressive as well as the 8' full glass doors. At the moment, just the sidelights are in with the construsction but they look awesome! We have seen other Hive homes with similar exteriors but this is ours...somehow its looks more impressive on the single story. Standing on the interior looking out the large front windows is almost like being outside.

Some of the week's progress:

- Electrician started installing boxes and recessed cans (we were going back and forth on compact flourescent recessed for greenstar but ended up with what we originally spec'd)

- Most windows installed

- Duct work started

- Plumbing/water pipes started

- Flat roof portion started

- Air conditioner increased to 15 SEER for GreenStar compliance
- House wrapped in Tyvek

Dear Sir/Madam
I would like to introduce myself; I a student at Durham University in the penultimate year of a four year Masters course in Mechanical Engineering, sponsored by the IMechE and The Royal Academy of Engineers. I very interested in sustainable engineering and I am writing to ask you for help in contacting a group of people, who recently (January 8, 2008) have filed a patent “7316311 Resealable clear flexible package for shoes”. The group of academics are Downing-Perrault; Alyssa (Brooklyn Center, MN), Hartung; Brianne C. (Arkansaw, WI) and Homan; Bradley G. (Cottage Grove, MN).

Currently I am undertaking a research project on the sustainability and efficiency of shoe box packaging. I am very impressed by the clear benefits that this patent, “Resealable clear flexible package for shoes” has to offer on packaging, shipping and storing shoes.

I would be very grateful for any advice or assistance that you are able offer me on making contact with those concerned, as I have a few enquiries that I am very keen to follow up, which I have mentioned below.

Yours faithfully,

Felicity Milton

1. Have you considered taking this product to market for mass production yet, and if so what would the cost be for an annual order of about 80million packages per year?
2. Are your bags biodegradable?
3. Are you in the position to send a sample please?

my email is felicity.milton@durham.ac.uk
